Community Gardens Committee
The City of Kyle Community Garden at Post Oak is expected to open in the summer of 2024.
Located at: 193 Goddard, Kyle Texas 78640
Expected amenities:
- 35+ garden plots, ADA accessible garden tables & plots, greenhouse, tool shed, pergola, picnic tables & benches,
- compost, mulch & soil bins, deer fencing, herb & flower gardens and a ADA restroom.
This garden was made possible thanks to funding from the Burdine Johnson Foundation and Austin Community Foundation.
Committee Description: The Community Gardens Committee will work with City staff and provide recommendations on the design and installation of the City of Kyle Community Garden at Post Oak. The community garden committee's purpose is to organize the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the City of Kyle Community Garden at Post Oak. Committee duties include participation in meetings to provide input regarding the operations of the garden including establishing garden rules, securing volunteers and donations, and providing input on garden design.
The Community Gardens will meet monthly through July 2024 on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6 pm.

Community Garden at Post Oak Plot Applications
The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Staff is currently taking names for the Community Garden at Post Oak Plot Application wait list.
To get on the wait list, Kyle residents must email Stacy Anderson at sanderson@cityofkyle.com with your name, address, phone number and preferred plot size. Preferred plot sizes are as follows:
- 4x8 ADA garden tables
- 4x8x1 Garden plots.
- 8x12x1 Garden plots
The official application will be available August 7, 2024. Planting is slated to begin September 7, 2024.
Availability is based on a first-come, first-serve. Spots are not guaranteed.
