Kyle Market Days - Celebrating Juneteenth

Enjoy those beautiful Texas mornings, stretch your legs, and support local vendors at the June Market Days - Celebrating Juneteenth on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson Park, 101 S. Burleson St.
Visitors can check out local vendors, including food, drink, arts and crafts, and farm-to-market items while enjoying live music, a playground for kids and areas to sit and visit with your friends and neighbors.
Attendees can also look forward to local, live performances and demonstrations in honor of Juneteenth. The schedule of events is as follows:
- 9 a.m. - Presentation of the Flag by AMVETS Post 115
- 9:05 a.m. - The National Anthem performed by The Rock Praise Group
- 9:15 a.m. - The Black National Anthem performed by The Rock Praise Group
- 9:20 a.m. - Opening remarks, summary of the history of Juneteenth by Dr. Vanessa Westbrook
- 9:25 a.m. - The Rock Praise Group performs
- 10:30 a.m. - Amanda Bellitto Music performs
- 11:45 a.m. - Ibrahim Aminou performs
Market Days often occur in tandem with various community celebrations and take place on the second Saturday of each month (except June) from April to November. Market Days is hosted and organized by the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department.
Vendor Applications:
The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for food and craft vendors.

Vendors are encouraged to apply early as it takes 1-2 business days for applications to be processed. The deadline to apply and pay to participate in Kyle Markets Days is the Monday before the scheduled Market Day. (i.e. if requesting June 8, the deadline is June 3).

Market Days Road Closures:
There will be street closures for the Market Days on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park, 101 S. Burleson Rd.
Starting at 5:30 a.m. and going until 3 p.m. on June 8 the following streets will be closed for the event:
- Burleson Street from Center Street to Miller Street
- Miller Street from Burleson Street to Main Street
