Opal Lane Improvements

Starting Tuesday, Sept 3 and going until Friday, Sept. 30 Opal Lane will have intermittent road closures from South Main to Old Stagecoach Trail.

During construction, traffic will be detoured from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 

The work will be performed in three different phases to shorten the distance of detour routes:
Phase 1: From Sept. 3-10 Opal Lane to Conestoga Drive to Old Stagecoach Road
Phase 2: From Sept. 10-17 Opal Lane to South Sledge Street to West Second Street to Scott Street
Phase 3: From Sept. 17-30 Opal Lane to South Main Street to Roland Lane to Old Stagecoach Road. 

The work being performed will consist of full-depth street failure repairs at multiple locations and applying a new layer of asphalt. 

All residents along the affected stretch of road are asked to park vehicles in your driveway and not in the street while work is being performed. Please plan accordingly. Drivers are asked to obey traffic warning signs, detours and watch out for heavy equipment and flaggers. At times, the driving surface may be rough. All work is weather permitting, in the event of inclement weather, the City of Kyle will return the next workday or when clear weather permits.
