Lamont Ramage Elementary School Overnight Construction

Overnight construction will take place at 575 Grist Mill Road for Hays CISD’s new Lamont Ramage Elementary School site on the following days:

• August 8 at 6 a.m. - Exterior wall pour
• August 12 at 1 a.m. - Slab pour
• August 16 at 6 a.m. - Exterior wall pour
• August 23 at 6 a.m. - Exterior wall pour
• August 26-27 at 1 a.m. - Concrete paving

The contractors applied for an exception to work between 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. due to daytime temperatures being high enough to cause cracking and settling in the concrete. The contractor has guaranteed that the below measures will be taken to keep noise disturbances for nearby residents at a minimum:

• All back up alarms on trucks will be a low frequency buzz.
• Light towers and generators will be as far away as possible from the residents.
• Breaks and lunch areas will be located on the other side of the job site – away from the residential area. 
• No music, loud conversations will be allowed
• Use of loud tools and equipment, will be limited to what is necessary.

All construction is weather permitting.
