School is back in session. Please remember that school zone speed limits are now active and enforced. Cell phone use in an active school zone is also illegal.

Kyle residents may now dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) on Tuesdays and Fridays at the City of San Marcos Traffic Yard, 630 E. Hopkins. The City of Kyle contributes to the operation of the facility in order that Kyle residents can participate.

Interim City Manager James Earp has presented the Proposed City Budget for 2010-2011 for the City Council's consideration. Check back often for the latest information on next year's city budget.

The Kyle city council unanimously approved moving forward with the construction of a new library during its regularly scheduled meeting on May 18th. The new Kyle Library, located in the western part of Kyle’s historic downtown, will be 20,000 square feet and will feature community rooms to accommodate meetings and gatherings as well as special areas for teens and young children.
