2023 Election Information
There will be a Runoff Election on Saturday, December 9, 2023 to determine a Council Member District 4. The candidates for this runoff election shall be Claudia Zapata and Lauralee Harris pending official canvass on November 14, 2023, the candidates in the general election receiving highest and second highest number of votes for Council Member District 4.
The deadline to register to vote in this election was November 9, 2023. The deadline for mail in ballot request to be received (not postmarked) at the Hays County Elections Office is November 28, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

There will be a general Election held on Nov. 7, 2023. The last day to register to vote is Oct. 10, 2023.

ON THE BALLOT
City Council
Kyle City Council is composed of seven elected officials: the mayor and six city council members. Three council members are elected at-large (Districts 1, 3, and 5), and three are elected by district (Districts 2, 4, and 6); all serve staggered three-year terms. The mayor is elected at-large and serves a three-year term. The following positions will be on the Nov 7, 2023 ballot:
- Mayor (Candidates include: Yvonne Flores-Cale, Travis Mitchell, Robert Ferguson, and Linda Tenorio)
- District 2 (Candidates include: Robert Rizo)
- District 4 (Candidates include: Jake Webb, Marc McKinney, Claudia Zapata, and Lauralee Harris)
