Community Rooms

The Jack and Burdine Johnson Community Meeting Rooms are beautifully lit and spacious  rooms available for reservation by the public.

To request a reservation download and complete the form found at the bottom of the page and email it to Michael at mlynch@cityofkyle.com or drop it off to the front desk in person. 

The library will then review your request and contact you at the earliest convenience to inform you of it's status.

Things you should know

Community rooms are only for public events, not for commercial purposes, or to produce profits. Meeting rooms are also not to be used for social gatherings such as showers, parties, family reunions.

Community room reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and no more than 5 weeks in advance of the meeting. 24 hour advanced notice of cancellation is required. Repeated cancellations will result in revoked reservation privileges for a year.

Contract, waiver, and applicable fees are due 24 hours before the event, and must be paid before we can confirm your reservation. The meeting rooms are only available during the Library's hours of operation, and must be free from attendees and personal belongings 15 minutes before closing.

Requests are limited to 2 sessions per month. The first two hours are free each month and $10.00 per hour thereafter.

Your community room request does not guarantee you a reservation. The library reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a reservation with two weeks notice to the individual. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Community room permission use can be withheld for anyone failing to comply with the Community Meeting Room Policy.
