UPDATE: City of Kyle Celebrates Arrival of Summer Fun with Double Splash Pad Grand Openings on May 9th

KYLE, TEXAS –– The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of the Gregg-Clarke Park and Steeplechase Park Splash Pads with two separate ribbon cutting ceremonies on *Thursday, May 9.  

The Gregg-Clarke Splash Pad ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Steeplechase Park Splash Pad ribbon cutting at 6:30 p.m.  

Join us for brief remarks, an official ribbon cutting commemorating these exciting new additions to our Kyle parks, and a chance for kids and families to try out the brand-new splash pads.  

The Steeplechase Park Splash Pad is 2,300 square-feet and includes a giant dumping bucket, a two headed sunflower, two mushroom showers, and water cannons. It is located at Steeplechase Park, 295 Hallie Dr., near the playground.  The Gregg-Clarke Park Splash Pad is 3,000-square-feet and includes a water tower, rain wall, dumping buckets, and custom hoops. It is located at Gregg-Clarke Park, 1100 W. Center St., near the James Adkins pool. Both splash pads have shade canopies, picnic tables, and benches. 

The splash pads will be open daily from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis from May 9 to Sept. 22, 2024.

*The Gregg-Clarke Park and Steeplechase Park Splash Pad Ribbon Cuttings were originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4 but have since been rescheduled due to rain and muddy conditions at the parks.
